The Tapestry

The Tapestry

Selected by our friends at Grass Route:

‘Impossibly catchy guitars smashing into a huge boy/girl sing along, terrace chant of a chorus. The band have sold out Night and Day in Manchester, have a front man called Liam and name Pixies, Pavement, The Clash and Television as influences…got your attention yet ?” Louder Than War

Sharing stages with the likes of The View, Pete Doherty and Twisted Wheel, The Tapestry show that Manchester’s guitar band future is in very safe hands. New single “Right As Rain” effortlessly blends the swagger of Madchester heroes The Stone Roses, The Happy Mondays and the Inspiral Carpets with the danceable-indie of Franz Ferdinand. Quite a potent combination! Grass Route’s Leon can’t get enough of ’em – and that man knows his music.

Brilliant band. There’s elements of Television, Bowie & even Chic in that melting pot sound of theirs too. One of the best live bands I’ve seen this year.
